What Exactly Is the iCAUR 03T REEV?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

REEV stands for Range-Extended Electric Vehicle. The 03T combines a battery and powerful electric motors with a petrol-powered range extender. The current specifications identify a 1.5T petrol engine as the range extender, while propulsion output is provided through a 130 kW front electric motor and 185 kW rear electric motor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This distinction matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A conventional petrol SUV relies primarily on its combustion engine for propulsion. A traditional hybrid continuously combines the combustion engine and electric system in different ways. The 03T is designed around electric propulsion while using its petrol system to extend the vehicle’s usable driving range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Powerful Is the iCAUR 03T?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There is serious performance underneath the boxy body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The front motor produces 130 kW, while the rear produces 185 kW, giving the system a combined electric motor output of 315 kW, or roughly 422 hp. Maximum combined torque is 505 Nm, with 205 Nm available from the front motor and 300 Nm from the rear. The official 0\u2013100 km\/h time is 5.5 seconds. For an SUV with the upright proportions of the 03T, that is substantial performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More importantly for everyday driving, electric motors can respond quickly when the accelerator is pressed. That should make merging onto a highway, overtaking and moving through faster traffic feel more immediate than the headline acceleration number alone suggests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The performance system is also deliberately rear-biased. iCAUR describes its intelligent torque distribution as allowing the front axle to contribute 0\u201340%, while the rear can receive 60\u2013100%. In simple terms, the car can continuously change how much effort each axle contributes instead of relying on a fixed AWD split. One of the strongest arguments for the 03T REEV is its usable range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The vehicle uses a 34.31 kWh LFP battery and has a stated pure-electric range of 171 km under the WLTC testing cycle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its stated total combined range is 801 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That does not mean every owner will achieve exactly 171 km electrically or exactly 801 km in total. Real-world range changes with speed, temperature, air-conditioning use, terrain, traffic, tyre pressure, vehicle load and driving style. But 171 km of rated EV range gives the 03T enough battery capacity for many normal daily driving patterns without immediately relying on the range extender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Imagine a driver commuting between home, work, the gym and shopping around Dubai. Depending on distance and conditions, a significant amount of that driving could potentially be handled using stored battery energy. Then, when the same owner needs to make a much longer trip, the petrol range extender removes much of the planning pressure that normally comes with a battery-only vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is where the REEV concept becomes practical rather than simply technical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Happens When the Battery Gets Low?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 03T can continue supporting longer-distance travel through its petrol range-extender system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official specification also gives a low-state-of-charge fuel consumption figure of 6.7 L\/100 km for the AWD model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This number needs to be understood correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should not be treated as the vehicle’s universal everyday fuel consumption figure because REEV efficiency changes considerably depending on how often the vehicle is charged, how much driving is completed electrically, battery state of charge and journey type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A driver who regularly charges and completes a large proportion of journeys electrically may use petrol very differently from someone who regularly operates the vehicle with a low battery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 34.31 kWh battery supports DC fast charging, with a stated 30% to 80% charging time of 0.33 hours, or approximately 20 minutes under suitable charging conditions. That is a useful figure for longer journeys because a short charging stop can replenish a meaningful portion of the battery. It is also worth being precise here: the current specification gives the charging time, but does not state the maximum DC charging power or AC charging rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Battery Is Designed With UAE Heat in Mind<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Battery protection is particularly relevant in a market such as the UAE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 03T’s LFP battery uses a triple-layer protection structure consisting of a steel outer shell, reinforced aluminium frame and fire-resistant inner layer. Its thermal-management system is designed to operate in temperatures beyond 40\u00b0C, which is an important consideration for vehicles spending much of their life in hot climates. The system also includes an ultra-fast collision power cutoff, which iCAUR states can disconnect power in 0.01 seconds. Of course, no battery technology makes a vehicle immune to extreme environmental conditions or poor maintenance. But the engineering focus on high-temperature management is directly relevant to the way the 03T will be used in the Gulf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dual-Motor AWD Is Only Part of the Story<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Many vehicles advertise AWD. The more important question is what the rest of the chassis is designed to do with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 03T uses a MacPherson independent front suspension and a cast-aluminium H-arm multi-link independent rear suspension. It also includes FSD adaptive damping suspension and hydraulic road-feel bushings. On paper, that is a more sophisticated setup than simply fitting a second electric motor and calling the vehicle adventure-ready. Adaptive damping is designed to manage suspension movement according to changing road conditions, while the multi-link rear layout gives engineers more control over wheel movement and body behaviour. Actual ride quality ultimately depends on suspension tuning, road surface, tyre pressure and vehicle load, so it is something worth assessing on a proper test drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 03T also rides on large 21-inch wheels with 265\/45 R21 tyres. They give the vehicle much of its visual stance, although buyers should remember that large wheels can make tyre condition, replacement cost and ride comfort more noticeable ownership considerations. It additionally supports controlled downhill driving on gradients of up to 70 degrees, operating at approximately 3\u20138 km\/h, while low-speed crawl control operates between 3 and 12 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These features are particularly useful when precise low-speed control matters more than outright power. They also show that iCAUR has approached the 03T as more than a visually rugged city SUV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That said, owners should still match the terrain to the vehicle, tyres, experience level and local driving regulations. Having selectable terrain modes does not automatically make every surface suitable for aggressive off-road driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safety Starts With the Structure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 03T uses a lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminium cage structure with a stated torsional stiffness of 31,812 N\u00b7m\/degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is reinforced with 3,500-ton die-cast shock towers and high-strength honeycomb structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Torsional stiffness is essentially a measurement of how resistant a vehicle’s body is to twisting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A stiff structure can provide a stronger foundation for both occupant protection and suspension tuning because the body itself moves less when forces are applied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

13 Sensors Support the Driver-Assistance System<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 03T uses 13 sensing devices around the vehicle. That includes two 77 GHz millimetre-wave radars, a 1.7-megapixel forward-facing camera, four 1-megapixel surround-view cameras and six ultrasonic sensors. Together, they support the vehicle’s Level 2 driver-assistance functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The listed systems include Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Lane Centering Control (LCC), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Front Collision Warning (FCW), Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) and Door Open Warning (DOW). There is also a 540-degree around-view system. That last feature can be particularly helpful in an SUV with a wide, upright body because it gives the driver additional visual information when parking, manoeuvring in tight areas or judging obstacles close to the vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Driver-assistance technology remains exactly that: assistance. The driver still remains responsible for observing the road and surroundings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Properly Distinctive Exterior<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is difficult to confuse the 03T with a typical urban crossover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The body measures 4,503 mm long, 1,950 mm wide and 1,815 mm high, with a 2,783 mm wheelbase. The design uses upright surfaces, pronounced wheel arches, rugged lower cladding and dual-tone body treatment to create a wide, planted appearance. The 21-inch wheels further exaggerate that stance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exterior equipment includes automatic LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, automatic high\/low-beam adjustment, load-bearing roof rails, welcome lighting and a rear towing hook. The available exterior colours listed for the Luxury model are Obsidian Black, Moonstone White, Basalt Grey, Deep Emerald Green, Glacier Silver and Sahara Yellow. Sahara Yellow makes the strongest visual statement, but colours such as Basalt Grey and Deep Emerald Green suit the 03T’s squared-off design particularly well if a more understated appearance is preferred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exterior looks deliberately rugged, but the cabin takes a much more digital and comfort-focused approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
