If you are travelling and leaving your REEV parked in Dubai for a few weeks, there is not much you need to do.
A few simple checks before you leave are usually enough.
Don’t Leave the Battery Almost Empty
Avoid leaving the high-voltage battery close to empty.
The vehicle can still use a small amount of energy while parked, so the battery level may be slightly lower when you return.
There is also no need to charge it to 100% just for storage. For longer periods, follow the storage guidance in your owner’s manual.
Check the 12V Battery
Your REEV also has a 12V battery that powers many of the vehicle’s electronics.
If it is already weak, leaving the car unused for a few weeks can make the problem more noticeable when you return.
This is especially worth checking if you have already noticed warning messages, locking issues or unusual electrical behaviour.

Check the Tyre Pressure
Before leaving, make sure the tyres are at the manufacturer’s recommended pressure.
Check them again when you return, especially if the vehicle has been sitting for several weeks.
Use Covered Parking If Possible
Dubai heat can be hard on a parked vehicle, especially when it sits in direct sunlight for long periods.
If available, covered or underground parking is the better option.
When You Return
Before driving away, check:
- Battery and fuel level
- Tyre pressure
- Any warning messages
- General condition of the vehicle
If everything looks normal, you can drive as usual.
