But it also raises a common question: does frequent fast charging damage the battery?

This is also why charging speed is not constant from beginning to end.
A vehicle may accept higher charging power when the battery is at a lower or moderate charge level, then gradually reduce the charging rate as it gets closer to full.
So occasional or regular DC fast charging is a normal part of using a REEV.
The bigger concern is long-term charging habits, particularly if very high-power DC charging becomes your main charging method when slower charging would have been practical.
Why Is DC Fast Charging Harder on a Battery?

AC charging adds energy more gradually. DC fast charging delivers considerably more power to the battery in a shorter period.

How Fast Can iCAUR REEV Models Charge?
Both current iCAUR REEV SUVs support DC fast charging.
The iCAUR 03T REEV can charge from approximately 30% to 80% in around 20 minutes under suitable DC fast-charging conditions.
The iCAUR V27 REEV can charge from approximately 20% to 80% in around 30 minutes, depending on the version and charging conditions.
Actual charging time can change according to battery temperature, starting charge level, charger output and the vehicle’s own charging management.
You may also notice that adding the final part of the battery takes longer than the earlier part of a fast-charging session. This is normal. The vehicle reduces charging power as necessary rather than trying to maintain maximum speed all the way to 100%.

Do You Need to Charge to 100% Every Time?
No.
There is little reason to wait for 100% during every public fast-charging stop if you already have enough energy for the rest of your journey.
For example, if the vehicle reaches 80% and that is comfortably enough to get home, continuing to occupy a fast charger simply to reach 100% may add considerable waiting time for relatively little practical benefit.
Charging closer to full can still make sense before a longer journey when you expect to use the additional battery capacity.
The important point is to charge according to what you actually need rather than treating 100% as a requirement every time you plug in.
A Practical Charging Routine for Dubai Drivers
You do not need to manage battery charging obsessively.
A sensible routine is much simpler:
Use AC charging at home or work when it fits naturally into your schedule.
Use DC fast charging when the additional speed is genuinely useful.
Avoid leaving the vehicle sitting for unnecessarily long periods with an extremely low battery level.
During longer journeys, charge enough to comfortably reach your destination rather than automatically waiting for a full battery.

The better approach is simply not to use the fastest charging option for every session when slower charging is already convenient.
